 Back Yards and Alley Project The Hidden Walled Gardens
Having judged backyards in the Gresham Ward of Middlesborough for the last five years I’ve really had my eyes opened to a wealth of unseen horticultural gems dotted around the ward. Like rows of little unexpected hidden gardens they have been a pleasure to judge. The way that each yard has its own identity with never two the same, either in planting style or indeed with the plants used. In some instances the yards are only 3ft to 4ft wide but despite this the way the space is used can be magnificent, as hopefully the following pictures will show.
